CHILBOLTON PARISH COUNCIL
About the Parish Council
The aim of the Council is to protect and enhance the social, recreational and environmental well-being of the parish and its residents.
The Parish Council has 8 volunteer members that are elected every four years. The next election will be in 2015. Those interested in serving on the Parish Council are particularly welcome to attend meetings, and should ask the Clerk for advice on election procedures.
The Council employs a part-time Clerk (approx. 36 hours/month) to deal with all correspondence, take minutes, and execute Council decisions.
The Council normally meets in the Durnford Room , Chilbolton Village Hall on the first Monday of every month except August. The Annual Parish Meeting is held in April and the Annual Meeting of the council (when officers and committees are elected) is in May.
The times and the agenda of each meeting are posted on the notice boards on Grindstone Green, village hall & adjacent to Branksome Close and also in Chilbolton Stores about a week before the meeting.
Parishioners are welcome to attend any parish council and its committees' meetings, and time is made available for them to voice any concerns.
Test Valley Borough and Hampshire County Councillors
Our Borough Councillors, Peter Boulton and Daniel Busk, try to attend Council Meetings, and the County Councillor, Andrew Gibson attends when his busy schedule permits.
